She has been in the autism field for over 20 years and thus has extensive experience teaching children and is proficient in guiding and coaching families implementing the RDI Program. Libby specializes in providing developmental, social and relationship –based interventions for individuals with ASDs. Through her private practice on the North Shore of Sydney she provides consultation using the RDI model. With this the focus is on guiding and coaching parents to successfully re-build the parent-child relationship and create balance and support in family life. As well as this Libby provides consultation and implementation of PBS principles for problematic and challenging behaviours. Libby has a wide range of experiences in the field of and autism and other developmental, intellectual, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Libby has worked in both the public and non-government sectors across a range of services and ages and leadership roles. Libby has taught in early intervention centres, classroom settings for primary and secondary aged students and work environments for adults. Libby has also provided training for staff in many of these settings. Libby provides guidance by conducting home visits to address environmental and organizational supports to help families establish optimal learning experiences for their children. Libby provides strategies and recommendations that families can implement in a practical and applied way incorporating the guiding principles of RDI and positive parenting. This expertise is also provided in school and pre-school settings where Libby provides guidance and training to staff helping them to clearly understand Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related developmental difficulties and implementation of effective strategies. Whilst Libby is based on Sydney she is able to travel interstate and to remote and country areas to assist families and provide support in preschool and school settings.

Libby is a qualified Special Education Teacher. She has a Masters Degree in Special Education, is an RDI Program Certified Consultant, is a licensed Practitioner for the parent program 1-2-3 Magic™ and is trained to implement Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) intervention for behavioural challenges.
